CompanyCSREmpresaRSCProdiel and its workers have managed to collect 5,155 kilograms of food for the Seville-based food bank organisation Fundación Banco de Alimentos, through a charitable initiative. This initiative took place at the business group’s headquarters and at a further three project locations for the multinational in the province of Seville and managed to beat the amount collected in 2018 by more than four tonnes. As has become customary, Prodiel has donated double the amount contributed by its employees. Therefore, of the five plus tonnes of food, Prodiel has contributed 3.5 tonnes and its workers provided the remaining 1.5 tonnes. The Corporate People and Communication Manager at Prodiel, Pablo Rodríguez Izquierdo, had the pleasure of officially handing over the donation to the manager of the Seville-based Fundación Banco de Alimentos de Sevilla, Ignacio Candau. The event took place at the company’s facilities within the La Cartuja Technology Park. “It has been a great pleasure for us to be able to participate again this year with an institution of so much significance in our society which selflessly contributes to mitigate the needs of the most disadvantaged. At Prodiel, we understand that projects as important as this need to be sustained over time; that is why we have been contributing to the food bank for the past three years to do our bit to help this cause”, said Pablo Rodríguez during the event. Thanks to contributions like those from Prodiel, the Seville Food Bank supplies almost 400 non-profit organisations in the province, which include charity canteens, nurseries, shelter facilities, insertion and care centres, religious communities and support centres devoted to children and teenagers, among many others.
