Prodiel becomes the majority shareholder of Energía Plus

With a 51% stake, Prodiel has become the majority shareholder of the electricity supplier Energía Plus, which was founded in 2011 and achieved a turnover exceeding 61 million euros in 2015.

This operation meets Prodiel’s strategic goal of diversifying its business lines, as with the incorporation of Energía Plus into the group, it will cover the entire electricity supply value chain: generation, construction, maintenance and supply.

The stake in Energía Plus is backed by strategic principles based on synergies that will add value to both companies. Prodiel will provide Energía Plus with a solid business support structure and the opportunity to open new international markets.

Prodiel has acquired control of Energía Plus in order to make it one of the top ten electricity suppliers in Spain and to boost its international expansion with a level of implementation and turnover in overseas’ markets that Energía Plus has not had the opportunity to access before now.
