DESCRIPTION Nova Olinda is the largest photovoltaic project in Brazil. It is located in the semi-arid region of Ribera do Piauí (Brazil). It has installed capacity of 292 MW and it can generate over 600 GWh a year, equivalent to the annual consumption needs of 300,000 homes, thereby avoiding the discharge into the atmosphere of more than 350,000 tonnes of CO2 a year.
