CSRRSCThe university is located close to the Ugandan border, in a very disadvantaged area of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The university does not currently have an electricity system or artificial lighting, which makes it impossible to use the facilities after the sun has set or to use computer equipment. PRODIEL and ROTARY, in partnership with several non-profit organisations, are promoting the construction of a 22-kWp photovoltaic solar plant and of the electrical system (wiring and lighting) at the university. For this project to become a reality, building the plant and installing the electrical system is not enough. Although the planned plant offers simple maintenance conditions, Prodiel is going to ensure the continuity of the project over time, by taking charge of ensuring it works.
